Cherrit's 101.6mm (4 inch) Box Rib Panels are manufactured from quality aluminium of Alloy 3003 or 1060 H-14 and conforming to ASTM B-209. It is made with a continuous pattern of 25.4mm high ribs on 101.4mm centre. To ensure easy installation, all the panels are manufactured in such a manner that they can be fitted without alternating them. Besides aluminium, Cherrit can still produce these panels in other types of metals, such as stainless steel, galvanized steel or coated steel.

These panels can be used in fertilizer plants, petrol and chemical plants as well as power houses.

MOISTURE BARRIER

Moisture barrier prevents galvanic or chemical corrosion caused by contact of dissimilar metals and soluble salts present in most industrial insulations.

TYPES OF MOISTURE BARRIER

1. POLYKRAFT MOISTURE BARRIER: Comprising of a 1-mil thick polyethylene and 40# natural kraft paper, heat and pressure bonded to the inner surface of the panels.
2. DUPONT'S SURLYN MOISTURE BARRIER: Consists of 63um co-extrusion of Dupont's surlyn and special polyethylene, heat and pressure bonded to the inner surface o the panels.

There will be no damage to the moisture barrier or top surface of the panels when forming our ribs.
