Cherrit's Aluminum Roll Jacketing is manufactured from Type 3003, 3004, and 1060 Alloys and Temper H-14 through H-19, conforming to ASTM-B209. They are available in a smooth finish or a stucco embossed pattern and either finish can come with 5mm (3/16") corrugations.
Moisture barrier prevents galvanic or chemical corrosion caused by contact of dissimilar metals and also soluble salts present in most industrial insulations. Cherrit recommends that all jacketing systems have a moisture barrier to avoid heavy maintenance cost due to galvanic or chemical corrosion.
